Don't buy Jewelry at Kohl's
I replaced my wedding and engagement rings at Kohl's because I was told I could return them at any time if something happened to them. I usually don't wear my rings at home, but the first time I did, I barely hit the engagement ring and the prong bent. I took it back and they said they didn't fix rings, but I could return it. I was told that since it had been about 16 months, they could not refund in the store, but Kohl's would send me a corporate check. When I received it, it wasn't a check, but a merchandise credit. I already bought a ring somewhere else because Kohl's didn't have any nice rings even close to the price I purchased the other one. When I called the corporate office, I was told that if I had paid cash or paid with a debit card, they could refund it, but since I paid with my Kohl's charge ( to get the 30% off) it was like a loan so they can only give me the in-store credit even though I paid it off as soon as I received the bill. I was rudely told that there was nothing else they would do. Because I was told I was getting a check, I now have a big merchandise credit and a ring from another store that I have to pay for.
