Don't expect toget your rebate - Toastmaster $12 rebate offer

I had my rebate all set to go when the dog grabbed it. The text on the receipt with directions was ruined, but the date, purchased item and my info were clear. I wrote a note explaining, included the torn rebate receipt and the upc code. I just received an email the rebate was denied because UPC code wasn't sent (it was). I tried to call, but there is a continuous loop of recorded messages which never gives an option to talk to a person. There is no way to email, either. I will never factor in the rebate again when deciding whether or not to make a purchase. The rebate system has too many complaints.
