I have been working at Kohl's for three week's now,and the employee's are pressured to get a certain amount of New credit card applicant. All the Kohl's store's have a competition on Which store gets the most New Kohls credit application's each hour. SO the Managers Hound the employee's to harass the customers with a list of come back's if the customer declines wanting to apply for a card. I DO Not like Harassing customers to satisfy my BOSS!!

Im glad to read these "employee"complaints. I knew I wasn't the only one who felt this way and I've been wanting to express my options. for along time.
This company Kohls that claims to be super customer service oriented honestly treats their employee terribly. I've worked for this heartless company coming up on 4yrs. For a place that expects nothing less that outstanding customer service they should know you must start by genuinely caring for your employees, this would make a huge difference in assureing. amazing customer service, however they don't get that. they say they do, but they don't. everything goes in one ear and out the other if its things they don't want to hear. the worst communication. no one is ever on same page. too many head hanchos. the efforts of trying isn't good enough. pats on back seem to be too much to expect, only written on "yes you did " paper or blurted. out in a "nightly huddle" so supervisor s can say they did. all that seems so fake. constantly stateing you (not asking or discussing)your unrealistic goals(persnal and team). schedules are never posted in reasonable. time frame, however we are expected to request any requests 2wks in advance. 4hr shifts are bullshit. how fair is it to schedule a "specialist" a 4hr evening shifts on truck days and of course expected to maintain, put dept back in order and push frieght to floor? then questioned why not complete. doesn't make sense. no examples set. weak training. no management person is approuchable. always made feel guilty if you can't fininish or stay linger or come in at last minute or have to call out. always feel like crap 95% of time when you leave your shift. damed if you do, damed if you don't. work for scraps and set up for failure every day. I could go on and on but I will leave it at this: Kohls we aren't robots we are humans with feelings. we can make or break you just as you threaten us and say that's all it takes with a happy/un customer. however you will be the ones whom will distroy this company for sure.

I am glad to find other complaints about Kohl's. I've been at store 338 for about 10 years. And I would think that I could be trusted by now. I was asked to see LP in his office, when I entered, there sat the store manager.I was apprehended about putting a customer's hold in the wrong bag, which was an innocent mistsake on my part. I was made to feel like one of their common criminals. I swore that I would never do this again and walked out. OMG!

I worked for Khol's all of 3 months and I found it harrassing to hound the customer for credit as well. I also found it was disorganized. Managers and Supervisor's did not train well under pressure nor was the training itself helpful. I make more money on my first job than working at Khol's and you work harder there!!! I realized for the aggrevation it was not worth working there even for the discounts!!!

Kohls does not care about their employees. I work at a Atlanta, Ga. area store, and they are now trying to get rid of ALL employees that are in their 50's and 60's, and these are people who know their job and are very reliable; actually extremely reliable! Our Manager is not to be trusted.When people first start at our store, we have noticed how friendly and fair he is, but later he changes, and Kohls DEFINITELY has their favorite employees, even if they don't show up to work sometimes!
