Poor Customer Service by the Manager at Store 0514 - Kohls Cash

As long as I've been shopping at Kohl's , they have honored Kohl's cash (even after the expiration date). I had $40 in Kohl's cash, that I was saving for school clothes shopping (the Kohl's cash was from 3.29.14 and had to be used the first week in April). So, it had been 3/4 months that I have been holding onto the cash. I took my son school clothes shopping last night, whipped out the Kohl's cash and 30% off coupon and was told I couldn't use the Kohl's cash, b/c as of August 1st, they could no longer accept expired Kohl's cash. I explained that I didn't know that and could I use it this one time and I will, from now on, use my Kohl's cash in between the dates on the cash? The Sales Associate (Bless her heart), walkie talkied the Manager and explained to her my situation. I couldn't hear what the Manager was saying, but the Sales Associate says, "So that's a No?" and must have gotten confirmation that I couldn't use the Kohl's cash "one last time". The Manager didn't bother coming up to the front desk to talk to me, she didn't bother finding out that I spend about $1,000-$1,200 in Kohl's every year for myself and kids' clothes. She didn't bother to find out how long I've been a Customer with Kohl's; NOTHING!!! The Sales Associate was very polite and did the best she could. There's much to be desired for the Manager working the Battle Creek Store on Monday night (8.11.14). I will do what I can to find our clothes elsewhere. If that means traveling to Kalamazoo, then so be it. If that means spending a little extra time in TJ Maxx, then so be it. However, after working in retail, myself, for over 6 years, and doing what I can to make sure the Customer left happy and knowing the Manager did absolutely nothing to talk to me, shows poor Store Management, as far as I'm concerned. By the way, my total, last night was $300!!! Sorry I spent so much, now!!!
